So…who are we?

We’re on a mission to seriously entertain you!  Robin, Melody and Paul set up Live The City back in 2005 to offer a new and innovative approach to exploring and experiencing destinations.  To this end we created a unique event format that combines sightseeing, clue solving and a quiz finale, what we now call Competitive Sightseeing.  To make the format work we needed a team based quiz system that was fun to play and simple to use.  We couldn’t find one so we built one ourselves…..(Luckily Robin and Paul had spent the previous 10 years developing products of other companies!).

Today 6 years on and with 1000’s of events under our belts we are expertly placed to offer you the best event experiences across the country and beyond.  To this day we still only specialise in Treasure Hunt and Quiz based events but now have a portfolio of locations and event themes to suit all tastes and budgets.  Add to this our great team of event professionals and you get a market leading company dedicated to innovation and client satisfaction.  You can read a bit more about our team on the right or else here is a bit more detail on our format and quiz system.

We’ve taken the traditional treasure hunt concept and mixed it up with some cutting edge technology to provide a brilliant on screen quiz finale.

Our unique format has the look and feel of a professional TV style quiz and adds a real wow factor to every event. Unlike some treasure hunt formats which can fizzle out to an uninspiring finish, with Live The City Treasure Hunts, the tension and excitement just keep on building until the final scoreboard reveals the Showdown Champions!

Our quiz system is a big screen, multiple choice quiz using a sophisticated podia system and is hosted by our own presenter.  The Showdown Quiz is played in teams, normally with one quiz machine per table.  Quiz machines are wireless and complete with four large flashing buttons which are used to select answer choices. Typically, there are four questions in each round either relating to the clues you’ve solved on your treasure hunt or general knowledge rounds if you opt for a showdown only quiz event.  Our expert team will custom-create question themes to match your group and event profile.  We can even create content relating to your group or company, with personalised graphics and team-names to suit.

Our ingenious quiz software records accuracy and speed on the button, meaning that a winning team will always be revealed and cheating is impossible. All response data is recorded allowing teams to see how well they have done or where they might have suffered!

Remember – you won’t find our quiz system anywhere else as we built it!!
